Defending Traditional Marriage

      How many of you have thought about why Traditional Marriage is the best decision we could make? I think about it all the time.  I have friends who are single parents or who have been in one failed relationship after another. I also have friends who are apart of a same sex couples. They were so excited when the state they live in passed the law they could get married. I am grateful for my loving husband who as raised in this gospel and who has the same beliefs as I do. I am glad to be apart of a relationship where go through the tough times together. I am happy my husband is a worthy priesthood holder who can give us priesthood blessing when we need them. In President Russell M Nelson's talk Disciples of Jesus Christ-Defenders of Marriage he says "There is great power in a strong partnership. Church's Postion on Divorce

Divorce and Other Negative Trends  Divorce is easy. That's what the world thinks. I can just get married again. What is wrong with the world today? Families are no longer sacred. Tough subject but one that is an ever-growing problem. Many people believe and feel that divorce is a band-aid. They believe this because they feel that a broken marriage just requires a simple fix.  Sometimes a broken marriage is more than scraped knees, its more of a broken toy. We sometimes start to neglect the important things in a relationship. We need to patch or glue it back together. We need the help of the lord and guidance of the spirit. We need to remember not to find fault with our spouse we need to find forgiveness in our hearts. Our children are affected by the choices we make in our marriage. Divorce is painful for everyone and children deserve to be loved and reared by two loving parents. How can we teach our children to be happy in the midst of a torn home? We don't ...
